SNCAC Chardonneret
The SNCAC NC.840 Chardonneret (sometimes referred Aérocentre NC.840 ) was a sports and touring aircraft of the French manufacturer Société Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques du Centre.
History and construction
The NC.840 was the first post-war development of the Société Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques du Centre. The four-seat high-wing Chardonneret was a fixed tricycle landing gear, conventional tail unit and was powered by a Renault engine with 179 kW 6Q.10. The machine first flew on November 3, 1946. In a second aircraft designated NC.841 a Mathis 175H radial engine was installed. Although the aircraft could not be sold, incorporated the experience thus gained into the development of the North NC.850.
