SNCB Class 18 (Alsthom)

The NMBS / SNCB - row 18 ( Alsthom ) was a Belgian locomotive class.

The series was a development of the French SNCF CC 40100 for the Belgian State Railways and was placed in between 1973 and 1974. The multi-system locomotives were intended for cross- border and were used primarily on routes to Belgium to Cologne and Paris. The six vehicles carrying the numbering from 1801 to 1806. In the meantime all vehicles are decommissioned and partially scrapped.

Since 2009, the operation numbers are staffed from 1801 onwards by the new locomotives of the series NMBS / SNCB - row 18 (Siemens).
