SNCF Class BB 67400

The diesel-electric locomotives of the BB 67400 series were built 1969-1975 for the French state railway SNCF. The manufacturer of 232 copies was Brissonneau & Lotz and MTE ( Matériel de traction électrique ). They were ordered on 6 January 1967. The first machine was delivered to the depot Chambery on 14 August 1969. The BB 67632, which was delivered on 31 October 1975 was the last diesel locomotive, which was handed over to SNCF in the 20th century.

Today there are still 228 machines in operation. They are used in different sectors of the SNCF, including Fret in freight transport, traffic areas and TER in the Paris suburb traffic ( Transilien ).
