Snettisham Hoard

The Snettisham - hoards come from the village of Snettisham in Norfolk, England and date from the late Iron Age. The first three hoards (A -C) was discovered in 1948 while plowing a lavender field and examined by Rainbird Clarke Museum in Norfolk. 1950 D and E were plowing nurseries to day. In 1989 Hort F ( 587 items ) was uncovered by a (legal) detectorists and the site was subsequently investigated by the British Museum, where hoards G -K were detected. Mainly included torc, but other items of precious metal also.
