Snooker season 2001/2002

The snooker season 2001 /02 consisted of a series of snooker tournaments that belonged to the main tour. 14 titles have been awarded this season, with nine tournaments, there were points for the world ranking.

The 2001/02 season was the last season with a bigger tournament calendar, from mid-August 2001 to May 6, 2002, when the World Cup finals. In the following two years, only five tournaments should be set. For the two Asian tournaments, the Thailand Masters and China Open, it was the preliminary final season on the tour, should the latter a few years later to return. The only two years previously installed Champions Cup opened on August 11, 2001 again for the last time a snooker season.
