Snooker season 2006/2007

The snooker season 2006/ 07 was a series of snooker tournaments, which belong to the main tour. As in the previous season was the tour of nine tournaments. In addition to the Pot Black Cup and the Masters as an invitation tournaments, there was this season in seven contests next to the title and the prize money and world ranking points to win.

The Northern Ireland Trophy, the year before only an invitational tournament, was elevated to the rank of world ranking tournament. The tournament opened on 13 August 2006, the season, which was completed on 7 May 2007 traditionally associated with the World Cup finals.

The total prize money at tournaments on the tour increased by £ 400,000 to a total of £ 3.26 million.
