Snooker season 2007/2008

The snooker season 2007/ 08 consisted of a series of snooker tournaments that belong to the Main Tour. In addition to titles and prize money, there was at seven tournaments also points for the Snooker world rankings. There were invitation tournaments where no points are awarded.

The number of tournaments was increased by one compared to the previous season. To address the increasing importance of snooker sport in China to meet, a second tournament in the Asian country was re-recorded with the Shanghai Masters. The Malta Cup was initially canceled after three years out of the tournament calendar, but was resumed in this season, but only with the status of an invitation tournament.

The season began on 6 August 2007 with the Shanghai Masters and ended on 5 May 2008 with the World Cup finals.

The Snooker world rankings will be updated only after a previous season and takes into account the performance of the past two seasons. The following table shows the 32 highest ranked player of the season 2007/ 08, ie it is based on the results from 2005/ 06 and 2006/07. In brackets the year placement is indicated in each case.
