Snooker season 2012/2013

The snooker season 2012/13 was a series of snooker tournaments that the main tour belonged.

A first version of the provisional calendar was released by the World Professional Billiards & Snooker Association ( WPBSA ) end of February 2012.

New on the calendar was the International Championship in China. Since the Wuxi Classic was raised from the status of an invitation to the tournament a world ranking tournament, there is henceforth five ranking tournaments in China. Thailand was the venue for the 6- Red World Championship, which was held between 2008 and 2010, despite professional involvement but not part of the main tour calendar.

The number of tournaments in the Players Tour Championship ( PTC) has been increased from 13 to 14 ( the final tournament included in the calculation ), the PTC made ​​for the first time in Asia station.

World Ranking

Since the 2010/11 season the snooker world rankings will be updated after each tournament in which there are ranking points. This is several times in the season - the so-called cut-off points - for new seedings for the following tournaments.
