Snoqualmie is a city near Seattle in Washington state. Snoqualmie has about 10670 inhabitants. The city is known not only by their legendary waterfalls ( Snoqualmie Falls).
The place is named after the Indian tribe of the Snoqualmie.
Twin Peaks
Fame Snoqualmie fact that large parts of the exterior shots for the hit series " Twin Peaks" director David Lynch were filmed here:
- The Great Northern Hotel is actually called " Salish Lodge " and is located at the Snoqualmie Falls. This waterfall is considered natural wonders and greatest attraction in the city.
- At the Mount Si High School, the school scenes were filmed.
- The big railway bridge, appears on the Laura's friend Ronnette Polaski during the pilot film is to be found on the eastern edge of the city.
- The sheriff's department of Harry S. Truman is in reality the administration building of the local sawmill.
- The forests which should be in the series of the entrance to the Black Hut ( Black Lodge ), were also included here.
