Snowskate

As a snowskate (also Snow Snow skateboard deck or ) is a sports machine called that a skateboard ( deck) without wheels, but with runners or sliding surfaces for snow, is similar. It is associated with the so-called fun sports.

Snowskates have rather a rough surface (grip tape) that are found in conventional Skateboards, a rubber or neoprene surface to prevent icing by snow. In contrast to the snowboard, the driver is connected via a bond with the board. Similarly, it has no metal edge on the contrary to snowboard. The steering is mainly done by moving the Snowskates with the feet, as the deck is very stiff for stability reasons. The bottom of the Snowskates is provided with longitudinally extending grooves, called channels, which ensure that the snowskate drives straight.

A variation of the Snowskates are the Snowdecks. One type Ski (sub - deck) under the board replaces here the channel. Models with four small runners instead of wheels of a skateboard are also available.
