Geography

Amphoe So Phisai borders the following counties (from west clockwise ) to the Amphoe Fao Rai and Rattanawapi in Nong Khai province, to the Amphoe Pak Khat, Mueang Bueng Kan and Phon Charoen Province Bueng Kan, and at Amphoe Ban Muang Sakon Nakhon Province.

History

So Phisai was March 1, 1972 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the three tambon So, Si Chompoo and Nong Tha Phan from Amphoe Phon Phisai were separated. On April 12, 1977, he was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe So Phisai is divided into seven communities ( tambon), which in turn in 89 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • So Phisai ( Thai เทศบาล ตำบล โซ่พิสัย ), consisting of parts of the tambon Sun
