Sobekemsaf II.

Sobekemsaf II was an Egyptian King (Pharaoh) of the 17th dynasty ( Second Intermediate Period ) and ruled by Franke around 1570 BC

Family

Sobekemsaf II was married to Queen Nubchaes. There is another queen of that name in the 13th dynasty. This had the consequence that one filed in the 13th Dynasty in the earlier research Sobekemsaf II. The name Nubchaes is however quite common in this period, so it is not difficult to start from two queens of the same name.

His grave

His pyramid was also located in Dra Abu el- Naga / Thebes. It was in the 16th year of Ramses IX. robbed and burned the mummies as ancient papyri as process logs show ( Papyrus Abbott, 20th Dynasty ).

Further evidence with his name are the stele of a writer Sobekhotep, a limestone shrine of Thebes, and two statues and a stele may also originate from the time of Sobekemsaf I and not clearly fit Sobekemsaf II because they Sobekemsaf only the name and do not call the throne name.
