Sobornoye Ulozheniye

Sobornoje Uloschenije, russ Соборное уложение, is the name of a 1649 by Tsar Alexis I issued Russian Collection of Laws. He had previously instructed the Sobor to the collection and consolidation of the existing laws in the kingdom. The law cemented the transformation of peasants into serfdom in European Russia. It had until the 19th century through application. By law every subject was bound to his plaice: the peasants were not allowed to leave their country, citizens are not their city. Through the Act, the peasant uprisings and migrations over the Urals accumulated.
