Social dumping

Social dumping is a political slogan used to be brought critically expressed that providers from countries where not the same labor and social standards apply as in their own country, offer economic goods cheaper and therefore constituted an illegitimate competition.

In return, it is claimed, behind the moral claim and demands for trade sanctions because of social dumping to hide a new form of protectionism. Less developed countries would come through increased trade to increased prosperity, which would allow an extension of their social policies. There was also no reason why the same standards should apply in all countries.
