Sociology (journal)

Sociology is the sociological journal of the British Sociological Association. Sociology is one of the leading sociology journals worldwide. It is referred to by Anthony Giddens "one of the leading journals in the social sciences " and John Brewer as " flagship journal of the British Sociological Association Sociology and most important magazine of the United Kingdom ". 2012 had the magazine an Impact Factor of 1.504 and was thus in the statistics of the Social Science Citation Index ranks 28 out of 137 journals considered in the category Sociology.

Founded as a quarterly magazine in 1967, she has been published since 2006, two monthly with six issues per year. In addition to original contributions from all areas of sociology, they published research notes and a review section with discussion essays and individual meetings.
