Sock hop

Sock hop is the name for a dance, which was created in the 1950s in the United States. In this time of rock ' n ' roll has become increasingly popular. There were many informal dancing in high schools instead, typically in the cafeteria or even more frequently in the gym.

In the beginning was the term for storing one's own shoes to prevent wear strip the soles on the ground.
