Soeng Sang District
Amphoe Soeng Sang ( Thai: อำเภอ เสิงสาง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the southeastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima. The Nakhon Ratchasima province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.
Geography
Amphoe Soeng Sang borders the following districts (from north clockwise): the Amphoe Nong Ki, Non Suwan, Pakham and Non Din Daeng province of Buriram, at Amphoe Watthana Nakhon Province Sa Kaeo, as well as Amphoe Khon Buri province Nakhon Ratchasima.
History
Soeng Sang was born on May 7, 1976 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by its territory from Amphoe Khon Buri was separated. It consisted at that time of a single Tambon Sa Takhian. On March 25, 1979, he was officially promoted to Amphoe.
Management
Amphoe Sang Soeng is divided into six subdistricts ( tambon), which in turn have together 84 municipalities ( Muban ).
There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:
- Soeng Sang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เสิงสาง ), consisting of parts of the tambon Soeng Sang,
- Non Sombun ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนน สมบูรณ์ ), consisting of parts of the tambon Non Sombun.
There are also six administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
