Sofia Goggia

Sofia Goggia (* November 15, 1992 in Bergamo ) is an Italian alpine skier. It belongs to the group of the European Cup Italian Winter Sports Federation. Your strongest disciplines are the super -G and downhill and super-combined.

Biography

Goggia denied on 10 January 2008 her first FIS races and came just eight days later for the first time in the European Cup for use, but then again only starting from December 2009 in this series. In the Italian Junior Championships, she won in their respective age group in 2009 Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super G and combined, and in 2010 the Super -G. First international appearances she had at the European Youth Olympic Festival 2009 in Szczyrk, where they in the giant slalom and 15th in slalom was 9, and at the Junior World Cup 2010, in Haute -Savoie, in which it 6th in the downhill and 46th was in the Giant Slalom, Super-G and Slalom in but was eliminated.

After initial victories in FIS races Goggia won in March 2010, the first points in the European Cup. The following winter 2010/2011, she completed a few races, since they already had to quit due to an injury in mid-January the season.
