Sofia Mattsson

Sofia Magdalena Mattsson ( born November 11, 1989 in Gällivare ) is a Swedish wrestler. It was 2009 World Champion in the weight category to 51 kg body weight.

Career

Sofia Mattsson is one of three wrestling sisters, the other two are Johanna Mattsson and Lisa Mattsson. All three belong to the BK ( Brottning Club) Gällivare. Sofia Mattsson began in 1996 with the rings and is being or has since been trained by Fariz Besarati, Hakan Johansson, Kalle Taivalsaari and Anders Magnusson. As adults, they started in the weight class up to 48 kg and to 51 kg body weight. The 1.62 meter tall athlete exercises at the time of any other profession.
