Sōfuku-ji (Nagasaki)

The Sofuku -ji (Japanese崇 福寺) is a Buddhist temple in Nagasaki, Japan. It was built in 1629 by the political turmoil before fleeing towards the end of the Ming Dynasty emigrants from Fujian province in China and is part of the Obaku shū of Zen Buddhism.

Two of the buildings of the Sofuku -ji are national treasures: the Daiippō - mon (第一 峰 门, one of the three gates of the temple, all of which have inscriptions that are to come from the Zen master Ingen ) and Daiyu testicles (大雄宝殿, the Buddha hall ). In the Daiyu testes of Sakyamuni Buddha is worshiped. The Daiyu testis was built in 1646, the Daiippō - mon in 1629; making them the oldest existing buildings in Nagasaki.

The meeting held in the Temple Obon festival is visited each year by many living in Japan Chinese.
