Soholt Peaks

The Søholt peaks are a group of rugged, ice-free summit between the Gifford peak and the Drake Icefall in the west of the Heritage Range, the southern part of the Antarctic Ellsworthgebirges.

At the tops of the peaks include Mount Søholt Bursik (2500 m) and the Eley Peak. North-north- west of the Eley peak is a 7 km long spur called Yochelson Ridge. East of the Søholt peaks extends the Schanz glacier, in the north- east, the Dunbar Ridge closes and in the north are the Balish Glacier and the Webers Peaks.

Got your name Søholt the peaks of the Ellsworthgebirgs expedition of the University of Minnesota (1962 /63), which named the summit after Donald E. Søholt, a geologist of the expedition.
