Hard for Neptune

The sculpture festival for Neptune by Sokari Douglas Camp can be seen in the grounds of the Deutsche Welle in Bonn. Neptune is made of welded steel elements and is overloaded with ornaments. The attitude of his legs and his body gives the impression of a gear purchase through water. At his feet to fish frolic. The most striking thing about the character is her headdress: A great spring wreath with mesh and a long banner ribbon, plus a bird / fish of shimmering blue glass, which just seems to land on his head.
