SOKO Rhein -Main was developed in 2005 by Dirk Eggers for ZDF and produced by UFA Film & Media Production GmbH. Directed the first episodes by Florian Froschmayer, authors were, inter alia, Matthias Herbert, who has also written the concept of the series, and Uwe Kossmann. It first seven episodes (including the 45 -minute pilot film ) were produced. The series was an offshoot of SOKO 5113th The scene of the crime series is Frankfurt am Main, and Rheinhessen, Mainz and Wiesbaden.

Actually, the series would have been initially are to bear the title SOKO Rhein- Main, but as they do not the other SOKO series was similar in the investigation technique, it was decided at the first showing of the first season for Specialists: CID Rhein- Main.

In 2008, the series was canceled after airing the final season and the repetition of the first season of the ZDF.

Content

Marita Marschall plays detective Councillor Susanne Medes, who leads her team as head while working with Thomas Wallner.
