The Sporptpalast Sokolniki (Russian Дворец спорта Сокольники ) is an ice rink in the Sokolniki district of the Eastern District of the Russian capital Moscow.

History

The first open Kunsteisstdaion was built in 1956 and opened on 14 April 1956. In preparation for the Universiade in 1973, the stadium was covered. In 1975 it was decided to use the stadium as a venue of the Olympic handball tournament in 1980. As a result, it was renovated and expanded to include a five-storey functional building.

The current main users of the sports facility is the HK Spartak Moscow. Now part of the building complex of the Sports Palace, a sports complex, which includes two tennis courts, sports grounds for handball and football, a fitness center and gym, two gyms and two ballrooms.
