Solar eclipse of November 25, 2011

In the solar eclipse of 25 November 2011, there was a purely partial eclipse, the earth was so taken only from the half shadow of the moon. The visibility area covered the entire Antarctic, as well as large parts of the Southern Ocean. In South Africa, only five percent of the solar disk were covered by the moon. In New Zealand, there were up to 20 percent, the eclipse took place there during the sunset. At the South Pole two-thirds of the solar disk were covered, and the sun was 21 degrees above the horizon.
