Solarolo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ravenna in the Italian region of Emilia -Romagna. It lies about 40 km southeast of Bologna and about 30 km west of Ravenna. In Solarolo 4496 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) on an area of ​​26.3 km ².

Solarolo borders the following municipalities: Bagnara di Romagna, Castel Bolognese, Cotignola, Faenza and Imola.
