Soldeu

Soldeu is a winter sports village in the parish ( Parròquia ) Canillo in Andorra. It has 589 inhabitants (as of 2013).

The place is situated on the northern side of the Valira in around 1700 meters altitude on the road from Andorra la Vella on the Port d' Envalira in the Ariege valley in France. It forms one of six entrances to the Grandvalira ski area with 63 lifts and 200 km of slopes, the largest of Andorra.

Soldeu has grown strongly in recent years and is somewhat reminiscent of the French settlements retort.
