Solemnity

High-strength (Latin sollemnitates, Einz. sollemnitas ) are in the liturgical order of the Catholic Church, the feast days of the liturgical year with the highest liturgical rank. These take in the view while in festivals, on the important beliefs or particularly important saints.

Also, each day of the octave of Easter is celebrated as a Solemnity (Easter Sunday to Low Sunday ). High strength have a higher rank than the liturgical Sundays, before all other feasts and commemorations have priority otherwise during the period of Ordinary Time. In times characterized ( Lent, Easter, Advent ), but their Sundays take precedence over solemnities. High-strength, which coincide in this time with a Sunday are nachgefeiert on the next possible day.
