Solhan

Solhan (Kurdish: Bongilan ) is a district of Bingöl Province in Turkey. Until 1932 it was known as Bongilan, then Solhan. 1936 Solhan became part of the province of Bingöl.
The district lies to the east of the province and covers an area of 1220 km ². Solhan borders the province of Muş.
Solhan has 33 496 inhabitants ( 2011). About half lives ( 16,080 inhabitants) in the city Solhan.
Zazaki and Kurmanji are the most common languages of the region.
