Solidarity (Greenland)

Atassut ( German: a sense of community or togetherness ) is a political party in Greenland. It defines itself as a liberal party and maintains contacts with right-wing liberal party Venstre Danish. Atassut is a possible independence of Greenland skeptical and argues in favor of maintaining the existing autonomy within the empire Community ( rigsfælleskab ) with Denmark and the Faroe islands.

For the election of Inatsisartut in 2005, the party won 19.1% of the vote and 6 out of 31 parliamentary seats; it formed in the legislature along with Siumut and Inuit Ataqatigiit a coalition government. 2009 10.9 % of voters voted for Atassut. The party thus lost three seats and is currently in opposition.
