Geography
Solkwitz located southeast of Pössneck and Nimritz in a hilly terrain of the expiring Slate Mountains in the transition to Orlasenke. Nearby is the nature reserve Döbritzer Switzerland is with its prehistoric caves. Via the local access road to Nimritz the main road is reached 281, the designed region accessible.
History
In December 1074 Solkwitz was first mentioned in a document. The place was and is dominated by agriculture.
