The Solomon Islands Dollar is the currency in Solomon Islands. It was introduced after the independence of Solomon Islands to replace the Australian Dollar. The Solomon Islands dollar banknotes are available in 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 dollars, and coins of 5, 10, 20, 50 cents and 1 dollar. The 1 - and 2- cent coins are no longer in circulation.
