Soltan Hajibeyov

Soltan oglu Hacıbəyov Ismail (also Soltan Hajibeyov; Russian Солтан Гаджибеков, Soltan Gadschibekow; born May 8, 1919 in Shusha, † 19 September 1974) was an Azerbaijani composer.

Hajibeyov studied music in Baku and then worked as a teacher at the conservatory of his uncle Useir Hajibeyov. Since 1955 he was director of the Azerbaijan Philharmonic Hall. He composed an operetta, ballet, two symphonies, a symphonic picture, a violin and an orchestra concert, a string quartet, a cantata, piano pieces, songs, stage and film music.
