Soma (Manisa)

Soma is a city in the Turkish province of Manisa, which is about 85 km north of Manisa and about 45 km east of Bergama ( Pergamum ) is located. It has 73 027 inhabitants (2008 ). In the city there are large coal reserves and therefore two coal-fired power plants.
