Somatosensory system

The term touch refers to the ability of living beings to perceive touch. The structures required for this purpose are called Tastsinnesorgane (see surface sensitivity ).

Sense of touch ( the key in question ) is used as a generic term for tactile perception and the haptic ( the key in question, based on the sense of touch ) perception. In the literature, the terms are tactile perception for the passive being touched and haptic perception for the "active detection " used.

Under physiological aspects of the sense of touch is dependent on the sensory-motor system ( motor and sensory information processing ) and the somatosensory system ( processing of sensory information ).
