Someone to Call My Lover is a song by American singer Janet Jackson from her seventh album, All for You. The song was written by Janet Jackson, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and produced. On 26 June 2001, the song in the United States was released as the second single from the album.

The So So Def Remix of the song was Jackson's first collaboration with Jermaine Dupri. The single was in the U.S. for Janet again a top- ten hit, reaching number 3 for the song Jackson was also nominated for a Grammy in the category " Best Female Pop Vocal Performance " at the Grammy Awards 2002, but lost to Nelly Furtado I'm Like a Bird.

Jackson sang the song only on her All for You Tour. Until Today is Someone to Call My Lover Janet Jackson's last song, which reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100.

Music Video

The director for music video led Francis Lawrence. In the music video Jackson goes to a bar you go into the bar, where she begins to sing the song and dances.
