Paleface Junior is an American Western comedy from director Frank Tashlin in 1952 with Bob Hope, Jane Russell and Roy Rogers in the lead roles.

Action

Peter Junior Potter celebrates his degree. With his car he drives to the West to take up his heroic father's legacy. Instead of the expected gold he meets the creditors of his father, all waiting for their money. It can placate provisionally

In the saloon of the city Junior Potter discovers the beautiful dancer Mike. He flashes from his advances. Unwittingly, he has fallen in love with a notorious gang leader who makes the environment unsafe. Hot on the heels of her is the government agent Roy Barton, who claims to be a singing cowboy.

Mike is eventually arrested by Barton. Potter Junior, which can save little more from the creditors, is a cronies a map that shows him the way to the gold. His discovery did not go unnoticed. The band of Mike makes meanwhile independently. Mike manages to escape from prison.

Background

The screenplay is based on an idea by Joseph Quillan, Frank Tashlin and Robert L. Welch.

Leading actor Bob Hope, who worked with Hope Enterprises as co-producer, already Engel worked in his previous film with the two guns together with Jane Russell. Bing Crosby was briefly displayed behind the wheel of a car. Cecil B. DeMille played a small supporting role as a photographer.

Paramount brought the film in 1953 in the West German cinemas. In this modern common dubbed Bob Hope got the voice of Georg Thomalla.
