Song Phi Nong District

Amphoe Song Phi Nong ( Thai: อำเภอ สองพี่น้อง ) is the southernmost district ( Amphoe ) of Suphanburi province. The Suphanburi province is located in the western part of central Thailand.

Geography

The neighboring Amphoe are from clockwise from the North: Amphoe U Thong and Bang Pla Ma Suphanburi Province, Lat Bua Luang Ayutthaya province, Bang Len and Kamphaeng Saen of Nakhon Pathom Province and Amphoe Tha Maka and Phanom Thuan Kanchanaburi province.

History

The district was established in 1896. He was previously a part of the district U Thong.

The main water resource of Song Phi Nong is the Maenam Tha Chin ( Tha Chin River ), also called Maenam Suphan ( Suphan River ).

Attractions

  • Wat Phai Rong Wua ( วัด ไผ่ โรง วัว ), bizarre temple area ( Wat ) on a huge terrain. There are also 14 " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
