Sony Alpha 500

The Sony 500 (DSLR -A500 ), and the Sony 550 (DSLR -A550 ) are digital SLR cameras by Sony from the series.

The 500 has a CMOS image sensor in APS -C size ( 23.5 x 15.6 mm) with 12.3 megapixels, CMOS image sensor 550 provides 14 megapixels. The grip sensor for the Eye-Start function is not installed in the version for the European market due to its nickel content.

The memory card slot on the handle can be folded easily and takes next to an SDHC memory card and a Memory Stick on.

Information is displayed on the back, tilting 3- inch display.

For the most important settings, there are separate buttons which the setting can be adjusted using the rotary control. The camera has both a live view function and a up to 14x magnified manual focus check on the Imager.
