Soong sisters
The Song Sisters (Chinese宋家 姐妹, Pinyin Songjia Jiemei ) were three influential sisters who were married in the 1930s with the most important people of Chinese politics. Of the three sisters, it said:
「一个 爱 钱,一个 爱 权,一个 爱国」
「 Yi ge ài qián, yi ge ài Quan, Yi ge ài guó 」
" One loves money, one loves the power, a loves the country (China). "
- Song Ailing (宋 蔼 龄; 1890-1973 ): Wife of HH Kung bankers ( loves money )
- Song Qingling (宋庆龄; 1893-1981 ): Wife of Sun Yat -sen ( loves China)
- Song Meiling (宋美龄; 1898-2003 ): Wife of Chiang Kai- shek ( loves the power )
In addition, there were three brothers who held important positions in the Republic of China.
- T. V. Soong (宋子文, Song Zǐwén )
- TL Soong (宋子良, Song Zǐliáng ), businessman in New York
- TA Soong (宋子安, Song Zǐ'ān; - 1969), President of the Bank of Canton, Hong Kong
Her father was a Methodist preacher Charlie Jones Soong (Chinese宋嘉树, Pinyin Song Jiashu; 1863-1918 ), who was a considerable fortune through his work in the banking and publishing.
