Soos

Soos (Greek Σόος ) was a mythical king of ancient Sparta mid-11th century BC

Soos was a member of the Spartan royal house of Eurypontidae. Herodotus not yet mentioned, however, inserted by the younger son of the sources Procles and father of Eurypon in the ruler lists. The mythical figure could be reduced to a historical person, since the reign of Soos, among others, the enslavement of the Helots is attributed to Plato and a respected Spartans named Sous ( contracted for Soos ) knows.
