Sophie Ward

Sophie Ward ( born December 30, 1964 in London) is a British actress.

Life and achievements

Sophie Ward is a daughter of actor Simon Ward. She debuted in 1975 in the television series Shadows. Her first role in a movie she starred in The Copter Kids ( 1976). In the Oscar-winning comedy A Shocking Accident ( 1982) she played alongside Rupert Everett. In the film, The Monk (1990 ), she took a starring role. In the film drama Wuthering Heights (1992 ) she starred opposite Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes. In the film drama A Village Affair (1994 ), she took over beside Kerry Fox one of the main roles. In the drama Bela Donna (1998) she appeared alongside Natasha Henstridge. In the drama Crime and Punishment (2002) she played the role of Dunia, sister of Rodion Raskolnikov, the Crispin Glover played.

Ward was married in 1988 to 1996, Paul Hobson. Because of the separation was the American writer Rena Brennan, Sophie Ward had met during a stay with friends in Los Angeles. In 2000, gave the two in one ( unofficial ) ceremony wedding vows. She has two sons, Nathaniel (* 1989) and Joshua (* 1993) and a stepson Corran (* 1983).
