Sorbitan monostearate ( Span 60 is a common synonym ) is a sorbitan fatty acid ester, an ester of sorbitol or sorbitol anhydride of 1,4- (short sorbitan ).

Production and representation

It is at about 250 degrees Celsius, and sorbitol ( animal or vegetable ) fat ( stearic acid, lauric acid, oleic acid or palmitic acid ) were prepared, wherein genetically modified organisms may be used.

Use
