Sorin Iulian Pîtea

Sorin Iulian Piteå ( born September 7, 1997, Bucharest ) is a Romanian ski jumper.

Career

Piteå was at the age of 13 years on September 8, 2010 in Einsiedeln his debut in the FIS Cup. He finished in 50th place out of 54 participants and therefore could not qualify for the second round itself. In the course of the season 2010/11 he took up with another jump in the FIS Cup, but failed to qualify a single time for the 2nd round. The first FIS Cup of the season 2011/2012 in Gerardmer Piteå was able to qualify as a 29 the first time for the second round. Overall, he was able to qualify this season five times for the second round. On 18 December 2011, he was in Erzurum his debut in the second-class Continental Cup, finishing in 52nd place. In the 2012/2013 season Piteå commuted between Continental Cup and FIS Cup. In the Continental Cup, he missed the second passage at each jump. When the FIS Cup in Rasnov, he finished the first competition in second place, the second competition he won. He is the first and only Romanian who won a FIS Cup. At the Junior World Championships 2013 in Liberec, he finished 45th place. In the summer of 2013 Piteå approached in several FIS Cup, but he scored only limited by adult services. In winter, he jumped on a regular basis in the Continental Cup.
