Sosnivka

Sosniwka (Ukrainian Соснівка; Russian Сосновка / Sosnowka ) is located in western Ukraine small town about 55 kilometers northeast of the Oblasthauptstadt Lviv located at the bow.

The place was built in 1955 according to plan for the development and processing of the coal deposits in the area and was initially the name slot 5-9 ( шахт 5-9 ), and later Kirov. On November 19, 1957, he has already received its city charter and was renamed at the same time in Sosniwka. The name refers to the large pine forests (Ukrainian Сосна / Sosna = " pine "). Administratively Sosniwka is the northern city of Tscherwonohrad assumed.

East of the town is a railway station on the branch line of the railway line Lviv - Kiwerzi after Tscherwonohrad, which was opened in 1915.
