Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Chandidas Ganguly ( born July 8, 1972 in Calcutta ) is a former Indian cricketer.

Career

Sourav Ganguly played between June 1996 and November 2008, 113 Tests for India, where he scored a total of 7212 runs ( 42.17 runs per wicket ). He was between 2000 and 2005 at 49 inserts captain of the Indian Test team. Of these 49 tests, the Indian team won 21. No other Indian Test captain had more missions and more wins than Ganguly. In addition, Sourav Ganguly played for India 311 One- Day International cricket matches ( ODIs ). Here, he scored 11,363 runs ( 41.02 runs per wicket ). He was after Sachin Tendulkar, the second Indian to score 10,000 runs in ODI matches at least. In addition, Sourav Ganguly took part in three Cricket World Cups ( 1999, 2003 and 2007).
