South Arapahoe County, Colorado

The South Arapahoe County was a county located in the state of Colorado, which existed until April 11, 1903 by November 15, 1902 and then the name was changed to Arapahoe County.

History

The Colorado General Assembly voted in 1901 to Arapahoe County into three parts: a new combined City and County of Denver, a new Adams County, and the remainder of the Arapahoe County was renamed South Arapahoe County. One decision of the Colorado Supreme Court was followed by the legislature and led by a referendum that the reorganization was delayed until 15 November 1902.
