South Cerney

South Cerney is a municipality in the district of Cotswold in Gloucestershire, a few miles south of Cirencester, close to the border with Wiltshire.

The place has (2001) 3074 inhabitants and is situated in the Cotswold Water Park, an area with more than 140 lakes that were formed by gravel mining, and are now partly used as a recreational area.

South Cerney was founded in 999.
