South Devon and Tavistock Railway
Launceston and South Devon Railway was a British railway company in Devonshire in England.
The Company received on 30 June 1862, the concession for the construction of a 31 kilometer long railway line from Tavistock to Launceston. In Tavistock was a connection to the South Devon and Tavistock Railway. On 1 June 1865, the route was opened in the broad gauge of 2140 mm. The South Devon Railway took over the Launceston and South Devon Railway on 24 June 1869.
