South German Monk

The Süddeutsche monk dove is a domestic pigeons breed and one of the colors pigeons. The glattfüßige is closely related to the monk pigeon Thurgau ( Swiss colors pigeons).

Origin

The glattfüßige comes from southern Germany, the belatschte from the Württemberg Oberland, from the Ulm and Biberach area.

Appearance

South German monk pigeons there glattfüßig and belatscht.

  • The glattfüßigen have a slim figure and an oblong field pigeons round head with a pointed cap.
  • The belatschten have a strong field pigeons shape, a broad head with round hood and a dense Fußbefiederung.

The plumage is all over the body to smooth. The eyes are dark with a reddish narrow margin. The beak is of medium length and bright with white powdered smooth warts. The neck is of medium length with well- rounded- throat. The chest is broad and well rounded. The back drops only slightly from to tail. This is long and well closed. The wings cover their backs and carried on the tail.

Color strokes

Head, tail, wings and slippers are white, the rest of the plumage according to the color shock.

  • The belatschten is available in Black, Red, Yellow without binding, black and blue with white bands or white scaling and blue without binding.
  • The glattfüßigen is available in blue with white napkins, blue and blue - Weißgeschuppt without binding.
